Ally Entertainment's Feature Artist
- January 2009 Nigel Mack - Blues Guitar and Harpist
Hailing from Saskatoon, Canada, Nigel Mack spent 15 years in Vancouver, British Columbia, before moving to the Chicago “center of the blues world” in 2003. Through the years, this hard-working artist has toured North America relentlessly, logging over a half million miles, and headlined many top blues venues and festivals in Europe. It was this time on the road that inspired Nigel's 2001 release, ”Road Rage.”. As a performer Nigel pays respect to the blues greats who have influenced his music while embracing the modern funk-blues sound commonly heard in the Chicago blues scene today. A prolific songwriter, Nigel's music has been heard around the globe on several internationally syndicated television programs including, ”Time of Your Life” and ”Dawson's Creek.” Although Nigel is most often heard with his band, he performs in a solo acoustic format. With his 1964 Martin acoustic and a 1929 National steel guitar, Nigel plays music from such luminaries as Son House, Willy Dixon and Tampa Red, in addition to his original tunes.
