Overview
Music in Motion, Chicago in Bloom:
Every Thursday at noon, the plaza at 875 North Michigan Avenue transforms into a stage that captures the city’s pulse. The Summer Concert Series brings together artists, audiences, and architecture in a weekly celebration of live performance—free, open-air, and unmistakably Chicago.
Produced and curated by ALLY Entertainment in partnership with HEARN, the series turns one of the city’s most iconic addresses into a destination for rhythm, connection, and community. From blues to soul, reggae to rock, each performance is a reminder that creativity thrives when art meets atmosphere.

Details
Now in its tenth season, the Summer Concert Series has evolved from a modest plaza showcase into a fixture of Chicago’s cultural calendar. Each week, ALLY handles the full spectrum of production—artist booking, sound, staging, logistics, and on-site coordination—delivering a seamless live experience for hundreds of lunchtime listeners, tourists, and tenants of the Magnificent Mile.
The 2025 lineup featured a mix of returning favorites and new discoveries, from Lynne Jordan & The Shivers to Bumpus, Hurricane Reggae Band, Rick Lindy & the Wild Ones, and more. Every show runs a compact, high-energy hour—tight enough for the downtown crowd, yet big enough to feel like a festival.
Behind the scenes, ALLY’s team orchestrates each detail—from load-in choreography on Michigan Avenue to crowd flow and sponsor integration. The plaza’s acoustics, framed by glass, steel, and skyline, give each performance a signature sound—alive, reflective, and urban.
Ten summers strong, and the city still dances at lunch.
